BackStory
When Kyle was eight years old, the worst thing that could happen to a boy occurred. On his former favorite holiday, Halloween, a stranger came to visit. This stranger was referred to infamously by the name of Reaper Sly, a serial killer who was known to knock on people's doors imitating delivery drivers, construction workers, and sometimes trick-or-treaters. On this one fateful night, Reaper Sly came to Kyle's door and knocked three times, bangs that will be forever solidified in Kyle's head. Soon after, Kyle's mother answered the door, and that was the last Kyle ever saw of her.
And not only that, Reaper had thrown Kyle down a flight of stairs, seemingly paralyzing Kyle. The doctors said the chances of Kyle ever walking again were a hundred to one. He had suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury.
With nothing but time and nothing to do but train, Kyle sought not only to walk again but also to become a street-level crime-fighting superhero. And despite his progress, Kyle kept his wheelchair in his personal life, throwing off any suspecting cop or criminal that was on to unraveling his secret identity.
Affiliations
Kyle is affiliated with the superhero group known as H.E.R.O., which stands for Help Everyone Respect Oneself. This group is led by Super Seven, a neurotic and overly cautious man who seeks to keep the team from doing anything "that actually matters" (Kyle's words). H.E.R.O. members participate in food drives, volunteer for soup kitchens, spend time looking for lost pets, go grocery shopping for the elderly, and participate in walkathons, but they do no actual crime fighting, as Super Seven deems it stupid and unproductive. In fact, any engagement in that kind of behavior would get a member of H.E.R.O. permanently banned.
Unfortunately for Super Seven, all that was about to change with the induction of one somewhat hotheaded member.
Powers & Abilities
This section will probably be the easiest ever written for a character, as Vigilante-X has no powers. He is not even that strong, fast, or smart either; however, what he lacks in those things (aka everything else) he makes up in pure willpower. That and his dual-action pistols, bulletproof vests, and other technical gear give him a slight edge. Vigilante-X's yellow stat durability booster is derived from his strongest armor (which unfortunately also makes him quite sluggish).
